Transport for London is a local government body that is in charge of the transport system throughout the City of London. Its role is to implement and manage the transport strategy across London. Most of the transport modes in London have their own charging and ticketing areas. Buses and trams, however, share a common fare and ticketing area, and the DLR and the Underground share another.
