The Blakemore Hotel in Bayswater is a comfortable, good value 2-3 star. Executive and Club rooms have been newly refurbished to a good 3 Star standard. Standard rooms are in need of updating, but are clean, comfortable and well appointed. The hotel aims to offer a warm welcome in comfortable and relaxed surroundings.

The Blakemore Hotel is centrally located in a quiet, tree-lined street, in Bayswater, only a mile-and-a-half (2k) to Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Selfridges, 2 minute's walk to Hyde Park and 5 minute's walk to Kensington Gardens (Princess Diana’s Memorial Gardens), and also just a taxi ride away from the City of London, the hub of the business district. Nearby are a number of tourist attractions, such as Harrods, Madame Tussauds, Earls Court and Olympia Arenas and exhibition halls, Buckingham Palace, Portobello Road market. The other main tourist attractions are all within quick and easy access, with tube and bus services nearby. The hotel and immediate area were also used extensively as a filming location for the Julia Roberts/ Hugh Grant film “Notting Hill.”

Tube: Queensway (Central Line) and Bayswater (District & Circle line)- both 5 minutes walk.
Paddington main line and tube stations 10 minutes walk from hotel with which has direct connection to London Heathrow Airport (15 minutes).
A2 Bus from Heathrow Airport stops on Bayswater Road 2 minutes from the hotel. Other main terminals are all easily accessed by tube or taxi. Car parks and meter parking are close to the hotel.

Good facilities, public areas and location, but standard rooms are very basic and in need of refurbishment - However, with special rates from £49 per double room inc breakfast, you cant really complain-this is a very cheap rate, especially to be so close to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Executive rooms are nicer and more recently refurbished, but overall for a cheap bed in central London, it's a good pick. Read guestbook comments for real feedback. Just dont expect too much from the standard rooms.
