On arrival at this fabulous boutique townhouse, I discovered a unique concept in car parking which tickled my tyres. Park it in the pay and display bay outside the hotel door, and give your keys to reception. They will feed it, and move it every two hours (max time limited for each car space) until 6.30pm each night when they are free. The following morning they feed it again 8.30am - so you can relax, digest breakfast and dress in comfort. In a city with very restricted car parking, usually reserved for larger more impersonal hotels, this is a great service. First impressions do count!
Most of the hotel guestbook comments about this hotel are quite similar: Beautiful, comfortable, personable and home away from home. This is your luxury London house, personified. Not only is your street setting simply charming (very quiet, lovely tall tree lined street), your location is completely brilliant (in the heart of Knightsbridge next to Harrods), and you have bedrooms that make you go Mmmmmm! Staff are also extremely friendly and very attentive. Fabulous relaxed atmosphere in the small lounge bar area, where late in the afternoon you can swap your tea and scones for cocktails. All complimentary aswell, which makes for an even more homely atmosphere, rather than rattling around for change or signing for every peanut you quaff. This is four star, boutique style living with luxury furnishings. Not five star, and not a large hotel, so slow down and enjoy the setting - you may never want to leave. Rates are very good value for such a unique experience.
