Hotel de Munck is a unique and homely 2-star hotel in a historic building in Amsterdam’s famous ring of canals. This non-smoking hotel was built in 1727, dating back to the height of the East India Compagny when it served as a captain's residence, and retains its historical charm. The hotel has a nice view of the 'Achtergracht', a small canal that runs into the river Amstel. The reception/breakfast area is decorated in the style of the 60's, including an original AMI jukebox.
The hotel offers double/twin rooms, family rooms, triple and quad rooms. All 16 rooms are contemporarily furnished and provide our guests with modern facilities. Each room has a television, telephone and radio.
The Hotel de Munck is located in the canal area within the charming centre of Amsterdam, opposite the park of the Frederiksplein and next to a canal. The hotel is situated on a quiet street within easy reach of several tram stops and within walking distance of several important locations like important museums, pleasant shopping streets, busy markets such as Waterlooplein and Albert Cuyp and the city’s vibrant nightlife can be experienced at the nearby ‘Rembrandtplein’.
